CEDA is a long established and well respected local charity providing high quality, person centred support to disabled people in Devon.  Our vision is to work with disabled people to become visible and valued members of society and to live the life they have chosen for themselves. The organisation’s work is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of individuals with different areas of interest and expertise, including knowledge and experience of disability and/or voluntary sector practice and with a broad range of management skills.

We are currently looking to recruit new Trustees who can bring legal knowledge and experience of business skills to our Board.  The role in unpaid and Trustees are expected to be able to attend the Board meetings and have the time to make an effective contribution to our work. Typically there are 4 meetings per year with additional meetings as required for specific purposes.

Hearts Together is a new Plymouth-based charity created by the merger of the HeartSWell charity and HeartSWell Lodge CIC.  The new charity will focus on developing their services to support patients, carers and relatives along with anyone adversely affected by heart disease across Devon and Cornwall, through the following activities:

  • Providing accommodation near Derriford Hospital for those undergoing treatment, their families, healthcare practitioners and those in training at the Hospital.
  • Providing counselling and other support individuals with heart disease and their families and carers,
  • Providing defibrillators and training for Communities, Clubs, Schools and Organisations Across Devon and Cornwall

The Charity now needs to recruit a Chair to lead the newly formed Board and Charity in determining and delivering their strategy moving forward.  This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an experienced Trustee who can demonstrate professionalism and credibility as well as drive and energy.  Whilst the Charity is based in Plymouth, they support people across Devon and Cornwall and they are keen to not only extend their services but to increase awareness of the importance of their work.

Arc Inspire operates across Somerset and our mission is to end rough sleeping in the Southwest.  Our aims are to:
