Specialist Charity Recruitment across the South West


Shine Charity Recruitment was set up in 2010 by specialist charity recruiter, Jackie Dawkins, a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Consultants. After joining the recruitment industry in 1988, she wanted to specialise in the provision of an ethical and professional recruitment service especially for the charity sector in the South West. She first became involved with charity clients in 2007 when she was working for Cathedral Appointments and was inspired and motivated by the people and the organisations she worked with. Her involvement with her clients extend beyond the recruitment process to include fundraising, volunteering, running events and becoming a trustee of Devon Air Ambulance Trust in 2008.

In addition, she organises a number of events and seminars to charities based in the South West, The Shine Charity Lunch Event, Seminars and Trustee Training Workshops.  These enable charity professionals network, share their knowledge and explore opportunities for partnership working and joint fundraising ventures.

Based at her home in DEVON, Jackie also covers most of the South West – CORNWALL, SOMERSET, DORSET HAMPSHIRE AND WILTSHIRE and works with charities both large and small. Candidates at locations across the South West from Bristol to Bodmin. Fees are generally based on results and are highly competitive, aimed at working within the financial restraints of the charity sector. She works with a database of candidates, all of whom are interviewed and screened to ensure suitability, who are looking for CHIEF EXECUTIVE, FUNDRAISING, TRUSTEE and SUPPORT jobs.
