I have been successful in sourcing a number of Trustees for South West based charities. Having worked in recruitment since 1986 I have developed an extensive network of professional contact. It is true to say that Trustees rarely go looking for opportunities and in a recent survey undertaken by the Charitie Commission, word of mouth and recommendation is still the most successful way of recruiting Trustees.
Speak to me about your requirements, it may be that I have someone on my database whose skills and experience could be suitable for your charity, if not I will take a more proactive approach and research and approach potential trustees on your behalf, meet with them to assess their suitability and establish their expectations. In addition, when you appoint one of my candidates, they will be entitle to attend our next Trustee Training workshop for free.
My fee depends on the annual income of your charity:-
Income over £1m – fee £1000 (no VAT)
Income under £1m – fee £500 (no VAT)
Becoming a Trustee is a rewarding experience that can broaden you knowledge base and provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the not-for-profit sector. I regularly have charities seeking to appoint new Trustees, contact me and we can discuss the opportunities that might be available to you. Typically you will be required to attend approximately four board meetings a year to provide a strategic input for the organisation. If you are also on a sub-committe eg HR, Finance or Fundraising, there will be roughly a further four meetings to attend – meetings can take place during the course of the working day or during the early evening. Contact me if you would like further information.
